For over 40 years, when major issues were deliberated in the Capitol, more often than not, Karoub Associates was involved. During that time the staff of Lansing's most successful and longest-standing lobbying firm reflected the changing philosophy of the Legislature and the diversity of its clients' needs. Today, the composition of that staff continues the strong Karoub tradition.

History of Karoub

Founded by James H. Karoub in January 1968, Karoub Associates has grown from a one-man, single client organization to the largest multi-clients government relations firm in Michigan with a staff of 20 and over 100 clients.

Jim Karoub served as a state legislator for three terms until 1966 when the redistricting of the state legislative districts made significant changes in constituencies. Mr. Karoub returned to private business in Livonia in 1967 but never lost the intrigue and fascination he found in the lawmaking process.

In late 1967 the Michigan League of Savings Institutions approached Jim to carry their legislative program in Lansing. Thus began the multi-client lobbying profession in Michigan.

Karoub Associates has grown through the years, not just in personnel and an expanding list of clients, but also in the knowledge gained by handling a broad array of legislative issues. As we look forward to the millennium and the new issues it will bring, Karoub Associates is prepared with an expanding staff, modernized communication and enhanced services to its clients.
