The Senate and House Appropriations Chairs set the following schedule for completion of the nineteen fiscal year 2008-09 budget bills:
Subcommittees in both chambers are targeting Friday, March 14 to complete their budget work, with the full committees to be done with their work a week later. Budget bills are targeted to then clear the Senate by Friday, March 28 and clear the House by Friday, April 11. Subcommittees will have until Friday, May 16 to work on bills sent over from the other chamber with full committee action in both chambers to be completed by Friday, May 23 and floor action by Friday, May 30.

Community Colleges, Community Health, Corrections, Education, Environmental Quality, Higher Education, Natural Resources, and School Aid
Budgets that will begin in the House:
Agriculture, Capital Outlay, Labor and Economic Growth, General Government, History/Arts/Libraries, Human Services, Judiciary, State Police, Military and Veterans Affairs, Strategic Fund Agency, and Transportation
